D.I.Y. birthday photo display

Sweet Pea just celebrated her fifth birthday and I can hardly believe it! We've completely cherished every moment of her life! She has brought immense joy and beauty to our hearts and home!
 In our home, we celebrate birthday's based on each child's interests; I also keep the decorations simple. Here's a peek at my current photo display's which I rotate out for each child's special day.

This horizontal piece of chicken wire hangs in our living room, displaying family photo's throughout the year.
Each birthday we customize it; add pom garland and twine across the top. simple. lovely. and personal.

I also strung a piece of jute across our fireplace mantle, attaching photo's to paper doilies with clothespins.

 Happy Birthday my Sweet Pea! You are SO incredibly loved!

{Sweet Pea turns 1} pinwheel party

My little Sweet Pea turned one! This year truly passed so quickly.
Over the weekend we celebrated with family and special friends, including my midwife who hadn't seen Sweet Pea since just after her birth.

Planning for a girl party is something entirely new and exciting!
 I definitely knew I wanted to include a cheerful color scheme when I found two rolls of beautiful aqua and white stripe wrapping paper begging to come home with me.
Mixed in a few other lovely colors = paper pinwheels. Simple, easy, and lovely!

Most of the decorations were D.I.Y. from the paper wrapped water bottles and coordinating cupcake flags to the handcut tree stumps made by my father in law.

Happy Birthday  Little One; you bless our family in words we cannot express! You daily remind my of how much the Father loves us. You are priceless, our sweet, sweet girl. I love you deeply!

{a cookie themed birthday}

Last week was Littlest Brother's birthday. This little bundle of love is a complete joy! Birthday's are so great; a day to celebrate the joy of a child, the day you were born. What an amazing gift children are!

We celebrated Littlest Brother turning three with a cookie themed celebration. simple, nothing fancy. just celebrating our little buddy. What joy and Freedom our hearts have...we're beyond blessed that you were born!
